Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Christian Lock("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Juan Almena("Developer," "we," or "us"). The App is licensed to you, not sold.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable subscription fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices that you own or control.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any technical protection measures in the App
- Use the App to monitor, restrict, or spy on another person without their explicit informed consent
3. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases
3.1 Subscription Plans
Christian Lock offers auto-renewable subscriptions with the following plans (prices subject to change; actual price displayed at the time of purchase in the App):
- Annual plan — billed once per year
- Weekly plan — billed once per week
3.2 Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period (currently 3 days). Your free trial begins immediately upon confirmation of purchase. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, your chosen subscription plan will begin automatically and the applicable fee will be charged to your Apple ID account.
To avoid being charged, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period.
3.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Renewal charges are billed within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. The price of the renewal will equal the price of the original subscription unless you are notified of a price change in advance.
3.4 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features until then. To cancel:
- Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or
- Visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
3.5 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not directly process payments or issue refunds. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Refund eligibility is governed by Apple's media purchase refund policy.
3.6 Restore Purchases
If you reinstall the App or switch devices, you can restore your prior subscription using the "Restore Purchases" option available in the App's paywall. Restoration is subject to your subscription being active on the same Apple ID.
4. End-User License Agreement (EULA)
Christian Lock is licensed to you in accordance with the Apple Standard End-User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated herein by reference. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Apple Standard EULA, available at:

In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA shall govern with respect to Apple-specific provisions; these Terms shall govern for all other matters.
The parties to the EULA are Juan Almena and you. Apple is not a party to the EULA and bears no responsibility for the App or its content.
5. Screen Time API & Acceptable Use
Christian Lockuses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls) to block applications on your device until you complete a prayer session. By using this feature, you represent and warrant that:
- You are using the App on your own device for your own voluntary self-restriction
- You will not use the App to monitor, restrict, or surveil another person without their explicit, informed, and freely given consent
- You understand that granting Screen Time authorization gives the App the ability to block apps on your device, and that you may revoke this permission at any time via Settings
Zero-Tolerance Policy: Any use of the App to coerce, monitor, or control another person without their knowledge and consent constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may violate applicable law. We reserve the right to terminate your access immediately upon becoming aware of any such use.
6. AI Features & Bible Content
The App includes an AI-powered Bible chat feature. Responses are generated by a third-party AI model and are provided for informational and spiritual reflection purposes only. They do not constitute professional theological, medical, psychological, or legal advice.
Bible text is provided in the public domain. We do not claim copyright over scripture translations included in the App.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App in any manner that violates applicable law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its related systems
- Interfere with the proper operation of the App
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content or information
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to software, text, graphics, logos, and icons — are the exclusive property of Juan Almena or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The name "Christian Lock," its logo, and associated brand assets may not be used without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
Apple bears no responsibility whatsoever for any claims relating to the App or your use of the App.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Juan Almena shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including RevenueCat and PostHog. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple Inc. Apple's terms and policies apply to all App Store transactions.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §§ 8, 9, 10, 13) shall survive.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Argentina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Buenos Aires, Argentina, unless Apple's standard procedures require otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
